Open Room aims to give theatre practitioners at the very beginning of their careers a chance to see inside a professional rehearsal room.
We are inviting aspiring Directors, Movement Directors, Dramaturgs and Musical Directors to apply for the opportunity to observe the rehearsal, tech and preview processes of three productions in our 2026 season, including the first major revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical CATS.
This is an unpaid training opportunity. We will work with the selected applicants around their availability so that their participation can work alongside any other work/study/caring responsibilities etc.
To apply, please download and read the Call Out Pack below, noting the key dates, and fill in this Application Form by no later than 10am on Monday 2nd February.
Should you prefer to answer any of the questions in Section 2 of the Application Form via a non-written medium, please submit a video of yourself (no more than 5 minutes per question) or a voice note (no more than 5 minutes per question) to [email protected]. More instructions and details can be found in the Application Form.
