Attending the Theatre Safely During Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that can result in serious and potentially fatal illness. The risk of transmission is increased where people gather together. Some people are at a higher risk than others. Although we are implementing heightened safety measures, the risk cannot be entirely eliminated and, by attending the venue, you assume all risk associated with COVID-19 (unless caused by our negligence).
Tickets are only available in fixed groups, where 1, 2, 3 or 4 tickets are seated together and each group is distanced in line with government guidance from other groups in the auditorium. All tickets within a particular group must be purchased by one booker. Each group must only consist of one household or support bubble. If permitted by law or guidance, we may elect at our sole discretion at any time to seat other ticketholders nearer to or directly next to your group.
At the venue you must:
- abide by all relevant government guidance;
- abide by: all instructions given by our staff; our signage; and our full terms and conditions;
- permit your temperature to be screened upon arrival (for ages 11+). If we assess (at our sole discretion) that your temperature is 37.8C or higher, you and those who were to be part of your fixed group of tickets will not be allowed to enter the venue and the face value of your tickets will be refunded (as set out at 5.8.1) within 7 days;
- wear a face covering (for ages 11+); and
- maintain a distance of 2 metres where possible (and otherwise no less than 1 metre) from all other households or support bubbles at the venue at all times.
You must not attend the venue if you:
- believe you may be infected with COVID-19;
- have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
- have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
- have travelled outside the UK in the last 14 days; or
- have been instructed to self-isolate.
Any individual who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable or who is in the same household or support bubble as someone who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable is advised not to attend.
If we are required by any COVID-19 government guidance or restrictions to cancel a performance, tickets may be exchanged or refunded as set out at section 5.
Exchange and refund of tickets: Tickets may only be exchanged or refunded in the case of a cancelled show. However, refunds are not given for cancellation or abandonment of a show as a result of the weather (see below about exchanging tickets for weather-related cancellations). For non-weather related cancellations, only the face value of your ticket is refundable. In any event, personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk and not refundable by us.
Weather-related cancellation: Please note that our auditorium, stage and lawn are completely uncovered and shows in our main theatre repertoire may be cancelled or abandoned because of the weather (this excludes films and one-off live music and comedy shows which are never cancelled because of the weather). Tickets are non-refundable in the event of cancellation because of the weather but may be exchanged in accordance with our policy set out in section 5.7 of our terms and conditions. Exchanging tickets for weather-related cancellation: If a show is cancelled on account of the weather, we will announce this at the time of cancellation at the venue. We do not communicate cancellations to patrons who did not come to the venue or who have already left the venue. However, you will still be able to benefit from our policy for exchanging tickets following a weather-related cancellation (see section 5.7 of our terms and conditions). If a show is cancelled or abandoned because of the weather, you will be entitled to exchange your ticket for seats available with the nearest value to your original ticket (rounded-up) at any other show at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in our main theatre repertoire (excluding films and one-off live music and comedy shows which are never cancelled because of the weather), subject to availability. There is no time limit on exchanging tickets in this way. When exchanging Premium Packages, you are entitled to exchange into the Premium Package allocation (subject to availability), and will be entitled to a complimentary programme and glass of wine which is part of the original Premium Package. Your ability to exchange into a particular show on a particular date and time will be subject to the availability of seats at that show on that date and time. This will be assessed at the point when we are processing your request for an exchange.
Cancellation of gift voucher or memberships: You have the right to cancel your contract for gift vouchers or memberships without giving any reason and receive a refund within 14 days of the date of purchase. Cancellation: To exercise the right to cancel, please let us know by doing one of the following: (a) e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org; (b) telephone +44 (0)20 7467 4920; or (c) write to Visitor Services, Regent’s Park Theatre Ltd, Stage Door Gate, Open Air Theatre, Inner Circle, Regent’s Park, London NW1 4NU. You may use the cancellation form which can be found here, but it is not obligatory. In any event, please provide your name, home address, details of the order and, where available, your phone number and e-mail address. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired. Refund: If you cancel your contract for gift vouchers or memberships, we will reimburse you the price you paid for the voucher or membership, including delivery costs. The maximum refund for delivery costs will be the costs of delivery by the least expensive delivery method we offer. If you choose to have the product delivered by a higher priced delivery package, then we will only refund what you would have paid for the cheapest delivery option. We will make any refunds due to you as soon as possible, and in any case not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. If you requested to begin the performance of services during the cancellation period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been performed until you have communicated us your cancellation of this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Grass Banks/Theatre Lawn: If your ticket is for gangway 1 grass bank space, gangway 4 grass bank space or the theatre lawn, you have a right only to be seated with others directly on the ground which may not be dry. The grass banks are located at the far sides of the auditorium, and the theatre lawn is outside of the auditorium.
