The Theatre Channel is an innovative online series celebrating musical theatre. We have been working in collaboration with them to create a special episode focusing on the shows of Rodgers and Hammerstein – all filmed at the Open Air Theatre and the surrounding areas of Regent’s Park. The episode features a mix of hidden gems and favourites from shows such as The King and I, The Sound of Music, Flower Drum Song and South Pacific, from performers including Michael Xavier and Josefina Gabrielle – both artists who have performed at the Open Air Theatre.

The programme also includes an extended feature behind the scenes of our Carousel rehearsals, including footage of Natasha May-Thomas (who plays Louise Bigelow) in rehearsal with choreographer Drew McOnie, and interviews with director Timothy Sheader and musical supervisor and orchestrator Tom Deering.

Stream the entire Rodgers and Hammerstein episode (Episode 7) on demand for £12.50 at www.stream.theatre/season/108.

Highlights from our Carousel rehearsal feature can be viewed here:

We hope you enjoy the episode.
