Mark Benton and stars from Broadway and the West End take the lead in 2014.

Opening on 12 June, Mark Benton stars as Henry Hobson in Hobson’s Choice. His stage credits include performances at the RSC, National and Donmar, but he is perhaps best known for his television work, appearing in Waterloo Road, Northern Lights and Strictly Come Dancing. Jodie McNee plays his daughter, Maggie.

Rufus Bonds Jr and Nicola Hughes take the title roles in the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. Rufus received a Drama Desk nomination for the original US production of Parade, and Nicola revisits the role of Bess following her Olivier Award nominated performance in Trevor Nunn’s 2006 production. Phillip Boykin reprises the role of Crown for which he received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for the 2012 Broadway production. Double Olivier Award nominee Sharon D Clarke also joins the cast as Mariah.

More 2014 season casting to be announced.

Rufus Bonds Jr and Phillip Boykin are appearing with the permission of UK Equity, incorporating the Variety Artistes’ Federation, pursuant to an exchange program between American Equity and UK Equity.
