The 2017 season ended on 23 September, following an extended run of Jesus Christ Superstar. The season opened on 19 May with On The Town, and we are delighted that Miriam-Teak Lee, who made her professional debut in the production, has recently been awarded Best Actress in a Musical in The Stage Debut Awards. A Tale of Two Cities marked a debut for Dickens at the Open Air Theatre, and Oliver Twist created for everyone aged six and over became our highest selling production created especially for younger audiences.

Over 160,000 people visited the theatre during the season – an increase of 15% on 2016. Thank you to all those who came, to all those who created, and to our Season 2017 Partners.

Season 2018 will be announced later this Autumn.
