Theatre is telling stories. Of all kinds and from as many lenses as possible. Through these stories we seek to inspire, entertain and challenge. In delivering work that asks questions about our ideas, attitudes and perceptions, some material may cause distress to some individuals, and whilst we don’t want to give away any spoilers, we do feel a duty to provide audiences with content advisory notes.
Please note that this contemporary retelling of Antigone contains loud sound effects, moments of physical violence, strong language (including racial slurs and queerphobic attitudes), and scenes which some may find upsetting involving an act of terrorism and a character taking their own life. The recommended age guide for this production is 12+.
If there are certain themes that you know would cause you extreme distress and you’d like to speak to one of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s team to find out more about the show, then please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org before your visit.
