Romeo and Juliet and Carousel were both nominated for The Casting Directors’ Guild Awards 2022. Huge congratulations to Stuart Burt & Annelie Powell (Romeo and Juliet) and Lucy Casson, James Orange, Jacob Sparrow & Verity Naughton (Carousel).

The CDG Casting Awards seek to reward and celebrate the incredible work achieved by casting teams across film, television, theatre and commercial.

The casting of our productions was celebrated in the media, with Afridiziak noting that “The blind casting for Romeo and Juliet helps push the Shakespearean classic into a new era. There is something significant in seeing yourself and your friends represented on stage” and in Carousel, Time Out described the casting as “superlative” contributing towards a “tougher Carousel, one that feels truer to its own tragedy.
